I am, forever, in heart, 
a paper storyteller;
as liquid and mysterious
as the moody seas. 

Bearing neither course nor cause,
my words will fill the sails
of wise and witty navigators;
castaways who seek 
the quest of soul, 
who long for an awakening, 
one wild, unchained, aware. 

I seek to splash upon the minds of men 
this untamed passion
that I hold; 
be a guide through maddening doldrums, 
lift your ship to crests of chance. 

I wish to rouse your sleeping soul, 
wake unseeing eyes; 
cast you far beyond
the sandy shore
into the stirring sea. 

And within each story told,
I'll hide a constant, quiet calm.
A comfort and a sense of me 
will forever linger on the breeze; 
and abide upon the peaceful shore 
even after I have traveled 
far across the bar.
